Pro Shop attendant
Job Description
The Pro Shop Attendant provides customer assistance to the course’s golfers and helps maintain a professional and orderly pro shop facility. Reports to Operations Manager.
Job Requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to perform critical job tasks and limit mistakes under pressure
Ability and willingness to present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Familiarity with basic computer functions
Flexible availability, particularly on weekends (both AM and PM).
Basic golf industry familiarity
Accountable for financial transactions
Must be 18 years or older
Job Duties
The Pro-shop attendant’s primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Proper opening and closing of the course’s point of sale system
Booking tee times
Tracking season pass holder’s golf rounds
Collecting greens fees for non-pass holders
Assigning golf carts to renters and lease holders
Selling merchandise (including canned alcohol, and mixing alcoholic drinks)
Ensuring golfers tee off on the appropriate hole at their designated time
Cleaning and inspecting rental cart returns for damage
Stocking beer and pop coolers
Additional potential responsibilities:
Tracking and posting of league play results
Organizing, monitoring, and posting results of golf tournaments and special events
Advertising for golf tournaments and special events
Cleaning and organizing pro shop and restrooms
Management of organization’s social media outlets and email lists
Maintain and update pass holder and local course database
Driving beverage cart for tournaments and events
Maintain ornamental bed and flower planters around pro shop
Monitor merchandise inventories and purchase items at reorder thresholds
Compensation
$13.00 – $18.00 per hour depending on additional responsibilities
